After five straight wins, Team San Andres secured a slot in the Semifinals of the 6th Congressman Cesar V. Sarmiento Inter-High School Inter-Town Basketball Tournament.
The team's latest victory came last October 9, 2014 after defeating Bato Town, 92-87. Previously, San Andres has beaten Viga Town, Bagamanoc Town, Catanduanes National High School (CNHS), and Immaculate Conception Seminary Academy (ICSA).
Eight players of the 15-member team are students of San Andres Vocational School (SAVS). They are

Angelo Salvador and
John Anton Socao
Other players are from Codon National High School (3), Cabcab National High Shcool (3), Mayngaway National High School (1).
Head Coach Allan Gianan is confident that the team's high spirit, skills, and discipline would seal the success of their campaign towards the Championship. But he also stressed that there is no time to relax yet as Team San Andres still have to play three more elimination games before the Semifinals, with the chance of having to play in San Andres as some upcoming games will be played outside Virac.
On November 7, Team San Andres will face Catanduanes State University Laboratory High School (CSU LHS) at the San Andres Plaza; November 9 with San Miguel Town in Bagamanoc; November 15 with Catanduanes Colleges (CC) in Virac.
Semifinal games will start on November 21. The two teams to advance to the Championship round will start the Best of Five series by December 1.
Coach Allan Gianan also attributes the success of the team's campaign in the tournament with the overwhelming support of Calolbonganons and the effort of the coaching and training staff, which includes Mr. Jo Borja, the Assistant Coach, and Trainors Hon. Jonathan Joson and Mr. Antonio Tomes. Councilor Joson also facilitated the assistance to the team from the Office of Mayor Peter Cua, the Team Manager.
