Choosing wellness paid off for San Andres Vocational School (SAVS). The school has recently been declared as the Division winner in the Wellness Campus program sponsored by Nestle Philippines through Greatfil Team, Inc. in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd).
Wellness Campus is a national campaign of Nestle that provides alternative activities for students in order to promote a lifestyle of wellness through an educational module. The module includes physical fitness routines, feeding, sports, art activities, the Wellness Dance Exercise, and many more. These activities are incorporated in the Music Arts, PE, and Health (MAPEH) subject of the students.
As the division winner, SAVS will represent Catanduanes in the Regional Wellness Showdown at the Albay Astrodome in Legazpi City on October 10, where 50 students of SAVS will execute the Wellness Dance Exercise. The school also received a cash prize of twenty thousand pesos (P20,000) as an assistance to the school's wellness program.
