Police Cadet Glenn T. Santelices
Police Cadet Glenn Tabo Santelices of SAVS Batch 2005 is this year's Class valedictorian of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).

The announcement was made by the academy's administration ahead of the graduation rites set on March 31, 2014. PNPA Mandilaab class of 2014 is composed of 202 male and female cadets from different parts of the country.

President Benigno Aquino III will grace the graduation ceremonies at the PNP Grounds in Camp CastaƱeda, Silang, Cavite. Catanduanes Governor Araceli T. Wong is also attending the ceremonies.

Santelices, 25, grew up in Lictin, San Andres, Catanduanes. He completed his elementary at San Andres Central Elementary School (SACES) and high school at San Andres Vocational School (SAVS) in 2005. While at SAVS he used to compete in Mathematics contests.

Prior to entering PNPA, he entered Claret Seminary in Quezon City where he graduated as cum laude in Philosophy. He also did various jobs like security guard and call center agent.

Drawing inspiration from his father, who is a police officer, Glenn made his way into the PNPA as his part of helping his family, particularly his three other siblings.

As a PNPA graduate, Santelices and the rest of the class will have the rank of "Inspector" upon joining either the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), or the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Santelices and other SAVS alumni are set to gather for the 2nd SAVS Grand Homecoming this April 21-22.
